KATIE MACDOUGALL
Katie completed her B.Ed at the University of Alberta, specializing in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. She went on to do her Orton-Gillingham Certificate at Surrey College, as well as her level one NILD Educational Therapist training through Regent University in Virginia. Katie has a Masters in Special Education from the University of Saskatchewan, completing her thesis on specific interventions to use in order to engage children with exceptionalities in physical activity.
She has taught and worked with students with dyslexia and other learning needs for many years. She taught for many years in both the public and private school systems before pursuing Minds in Motion full time. Katie has a passion for fitness and the outdoors, and believes that students learn best when they are active.
